Montage DDR4 Full Buffer Architecture Incorporated into International Standards
We all know that in the storage field, the domestic production rate of DRAM memory and NAND flash memory is 0. The technology and production capacity are mainly in the hands of Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, Toshiba, and other companies, especially for high-value DRAM memory chips. Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron account for 95% of the global market share. Domestic manufacturers have no say in this industry, but domestic manufacturers have been working hard for this.
The layout of domestic DRAM memory chips mainly includes the innovative memory chip project of Hefei Changxin/Zhaoyi. In addition to DRAM chips, there are still some domestic companies that focus on memory interface chips. Hangzhou Montage Technology, which recently announced the Jintide series of domestic X86 processors, is one of them. One, the company is applying for listing on the domestic Science and Technology Innovation Board, and recently disclosed their technical progress and layout on DDR memory chips in the prospectus.
Founded in 2004, Montage Technology is one of the main suppliers of memory interface chips in the world. It invented the DDR4 full-buffer "1+9" architecture, which was finally adopted by the JEDEC international standard. Relying on high-speed and low-power technology with independent intellectual property rights, the company provides high-performance memory interface solutions that fully comply with the JEDEC standard for the new generation of server platforms. At the same time, it is actively participating in the formulation of the DDR5 JEDEC standard. One of the main suppliers of memory full-buffer/half-buffer complete solutions has an important voice in this field.
With the increasingly fierce competition in the semiconductor ram memory industry, it is hoped that domestic manufacturers can rise rapidly and realize technological independence, so that we will no longer be controlled by others, to achieve true self-reliance and self-improvement.
